3 F's of Resume Writing - What Are They?The three I's of resume writing are - firstly, clearly stating your experience, secondly, articulating a strong reason for why you want to work for this company and lastly, making sure that your personality is described in your cover letter. These three areas should never be neglected, because they are so important to creating a perfect resume. A poor resume could cause the employer to see you as unqualified for the job.Although a formal letter is required before you can be employed, the letter you will write is not your first contact with the company. The most basic format for resume writing is a three paragraph resume outline. Your resume should be designed around this outline and you should answer each of the questions posed on your resume. In essence, your cover letter is your resume that is not answered.The first section of your resume should answer the question of the position you are applying for. This section is most likely the introduc tory paragraph. It should tell about your education, awards and other accomplishments that relate to the position you are applying for. After that, the section should answer the question of why you are applying for the position in the first place.The second section of your resume should highlight the skills and qualifications you have developed and the questions you want to be answered. For example, you may ask about the company's culture, vision, mission and history. The third section should summarize the basics of the job requirements, salary expectations and any other required information that will help in the hiring process.Skill and qualification are the areas where you will highlight your abilities, while stating what you need to do to get those skills and qualifications. An example of this is you could say 'I have excellent writing skills and am the best communicator in my office'. This is a great way to create your career path because it showcases the abilities that you have learned and gives specific examples. If you also have the skills to communicate well, then a good example would be 'I have extensive sales training and know the ins and outs of making an appointment with a customer'.Other examples of skills that you could highlight would be 'I have excellent computer skills, so I am ideal for an information management job'I understand human psychology and have great organizational skills, so I could do a lot for the customer service department'. All of these examples are examples of the 3 f's of resume writing, skills and qualifications. These types of skills and qualifications are more than what the company needs to hire you and these are the areas that you will emphasize.Finally, you want to make sure that your resume includes a strong summary of your interview. Make sure that your resume is filled with the best interview examples you can find so that when the interviewer asks questions, you have your answers ready. Also, make sure that your resu me doesn't simply contain your resume. It must have the interviewer's name and phone number or an e-mail address so that you can follow up with them in the future.One of the most important parts of resume writing is clearly describing your resume and your skills and qualifications so that the interviewer can get an idea of what you can do for them and if they will like you. If you follow these three f's of resume writing you will get the interview and the job.
